What institutions and/or physicians have experience treating ACC?
Given the rare nature of ACC, many practicing oncologists see few, if any, ACC patients in the course of their careers. Accordingly, many ACC patients choose to visit major academic medical centers that are more likely to be aware of new treatments and might be spearheading clinical trials. These institutions also are instrumental in advancing research as well as determining the normal treatment guidelines (“standard of care”) for ACC patients. Based on publicly available information and ACC patient feedback, the following institutions and physicians have experience treating ACC.
