2cm stone is approximately 3/4″ thick. 3cm is approximately 1 3/16″ thick. We recommend using 3cm material in the kitchen for both aesthetic reasons and structural reasons. 2cm material is a viable option in laundry rooms, vanity tops, and wet bars.
