What is a blueprint and where can I get blueprint copies made?
I used to have the house plans I draw made into blueprints. There are still some blueprint shops in my are in Ohio and I would think that if you look in the phone book you could find some in your area. The way it works is that the original drawing is done on vellum paper. If you do your drawing a the standard white bond paper, then you would need to have the blueprint shop make a vellum from your original and then they would run that off and make blueprints from it. I know you can make large copies and Kinko’s but not blueprints. So if you really want the blueprint look, you have to go to a blueprint shop. If you can’t find one, contact a local architect company and ask them where they get there blueprints made. I am sure they would be able to tell you where you can get this done. I hope this helps.
