What is a circuit?
Traditionally, a circuit is a continuous length of electrical cable linking together a number of luminaires, such that when the power is switched on all luminaires will be powered to the same level. The circuit is controlled as one and can not be split without rewiring. This is not true, however, for a DALI based control system where a single cable carries both power and data with the scene information stored in the load interface. Therefore, each luminaire can be independently controlled and switched on or off.
