What is a Cisco Networking Academy?
As the worldwide leader in networking devices Cisco Systems has developed several programs of study (CCNA, CCNP, etc…) in an effort to train students to configure their routers and switches. The Cisco Networking Academy Program is a comprehensive e-learning program that provides students with the Internet technology skills essential in a global economy. The Networking Academy delivers web-based content, online assessment, student performance tracking, hands-on labs, instructor training and support, and preparation for industry standard certifications.
Cisco Systems, Inc., the world’s largest manufacturer of networking and Internet hardware, has selected South Mountain Community College to serve as a Local Academy. Students will receive hands-on training in the design, installation, and maintenance of computer networks. In addition, a student will be prepared to take the Cisco Certified Networking Associate exam upon successful completion of the courses.
