Being a baby photographer can be a very lucrative career. Parents on average spend more money on photos in the first three years of their child’s life than the rest of their years combined. On any given day a photographer can snap pictures of dozens of children or just a handful, depending on what type of studio. Department store studios are typically much busier than private ones.
It takes a very special person to be a baby photographer. Dealing with very small children is unpredictable and requires years of practice and patience.
