What is a Direct Payment to Childcare Provider Scheme?

0

Direct Payment is similar to a Childcare Voucher Scheme but rather than being organised by a voucher company it is organised by the employer. An employer would contact you direct and make arrangements to contract with you for up to £243 per month of childcare on behalf of their employee. To comply with HMRC rules(formerly Inland Revenue) and enable the scheme to work effectively an agreement with the employer needs to be in place. For further information see the Childcare Providers with and as employers factsheet and Direct Payment to Childcare Providers – Providers factsheet .Through our work on the CMB a toolkit was developed to help employers implement a Direct Payment scheme.
