WHAT IS A FIXED BASE OPERATOR?
A fixed base operator, or FBO, is generally a separate terminal that serves general aviation, or business jet travel. An FBO is where you will meet your crew and board your flight. Some airports may have more than one FBO on the field, but don’t worry, you’ll know where your private aircraft is long before you leave the house. It’s easy! Although an FBO may be located at a major airport, for your convenience, private jets can have access to about 5,000 airports nationwide, while airlines have service in about 500 airports.
