What is a “giclée” print on canvas?
Giclée prints are extremely high quality digital art prints produced with archival quality inks and artist’s canvas to replicate the original work on canvas. They are not usually framed behind glass, but framed as an original oil painting would be framed. Giclée prints can be found at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art and the Chelsea Galleries in New York City and other locations. A giclée canvas print is perfect for clients who want to have the look of the original oil or watercolor in their home or office. Our giclée prints may also be hand coated by our artists using an artist’s brush to apply a clear acrylic coating to add some of the brushwork texture of an original painting to the print.
