Lisa Johnson

It is a database that uses nodes, edges and properties to represent and store data.  No index pointer are necessary as it contains direct pointers.  Graph databases are based on graph theory.  The relationship between people and social networks is the most obvious example of a graph database.

The easiest possible graph is only one Node, a record that has named values principles termed as . A node could start with only one Property and grow to a few million properties, though that can get a little uncomfortable. At some point it seems sensible to spread the data into several nodes, structured with explicit Relationships.
