What is a Joint Application Design (JAD) session?
Joint Application Design (JAD) is a process used in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to collect business requirements while developing new systems for a business. It consists of a workshop(s) where Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Technical specialists meet, to define and review the business requirements for the system. Through JAD workshops the SMEs and Technical specialists are able to interact; sharing valuable input regarding the new system. The goal is to design a new system that is feasible and appealing to both the designers and end users.
