What is a Kofax Desktop profile?
A profile is a group of settings that is applied to a document as it is scanned. This eliminates the need to adjust individual settings each time a document is scanned. Kofax Desktop comes with three profiles: Color only, Black and White only, or Auto Color or B&W. These profiles cannot be changed. However, Kofax Desktop users can create an unlimited number of additional profiles. For example, you could create separate profiles named “credit card,” “mortgage payment,” “car insurance” and “phone bill.” Each time you receive a bill or statement in one of these categories, simply select the appropriate profile and scan the document.
