What is a multi-use list?
A multi-use list is a list of suppliers, intended for use in more than one procurement process, where the suppliers have already satisfied certain conditions for inclusion on the multi-use list. If a potential supplier is assessed as meeting the stated conditions for participation, that supplier must be included on the list. No discretion can be exercised in determining whether a potential supplier can be included on the list. Multi-use lists are subject to a number of specific rules, as set out in paragraphs 8.16 – 8.19 of the CPGs. A multi-use list may be used as the basis for selecting participants in a select tender process, or inclusion on the list may be a condition for participation in an open tender process. A multi-use list is typically developed for property or services that an agency frequently procures.
