What is a note-taker and how can I assist a student with getting notes?
A note-taker is usually another student in class who agrees to provide copies of lecture notes taken during class. The student’s DSS memo will document the need for a note-taker and provide specific information for instructors on how to recruit one. Instructors should always introduce the student with a disability to the note-taker privately to maintain confidentiality. DSS will provide the note-taker with a copy card and stipend.
