Chevy’s Passenger Sensing System detects what kind of occupant may be present in the right-front passenger seat using sensors in the seat and the safety belt system. Unlike air bag on/off switches that are manually activated, the Passenger Sensing System is automatic; and a light on the rearview mirror or instrument panel indicates the system status at all times.
