What is a PMS fee?

0

A PMS (Pantone Matching System) set up fee applies anytime your printwork/layout uses spot color as opposed to process CMYK or in addition to CMYK. This applies to metallic ink as well. This fee is an industry-wide practice and is in place simply because spot colors customize your job (we have to set up an additional station to facilitate each spot color). NOTE: There is no PMS fee for the actual CD face. This is because it is standard to screen the colors directly onto the disc itself. The manner in which CD faces are printed differs entirely from the way we print your booklets and traycards.
