What is a Quote?

Once you have finished adding items and are ready to proceed with your purchase, you should then check your order details and select ‘confirm’ to generate a printable quote. What this means is that the price specified at that time will remain valid and constant for the next 28 days, independent of price fluctuations which may occur on the live site. At the quote stage you will be provided with a Reference Number e.g. 74562 and notice of the validity period e.g. Valid until Wednesday, 12 August 2004. This enables you to return to the order at a later date, if you do not choose to conclude the sale at this point. If you do not, after 28 days the order generated is automatically cancelled.

You can save a shopping cart before submitting it as an order and come back to it later. We call this a ‘quote’.

Online quoting for the items you have selected. Quotes differ from Carts in that the Quote includes the surcharge of shipping and tax (if applicable).
