What is a Rebuy tournament?
Rebuy tournaments offer players the chance to add extra chips to their chip stack during the tournament . Rebuys can typically be made multiple times during the tournament when a player falls below a minimum number of chips, and can also be done when a player runs out of chips. There is usually a specific time period set when rebuys can be made, after which play would continue as usual without the possibility of rebuying chips. During the first break of a rebuy tournament, players may also have the option to purchase an “add-on” allowing them to add more chips to their stack regardless of their current chip count. After no further rebuys or add-ons are offered the tournament will then play out until the last player at the final table has all of the chips and wins the event.
