When I failed my exams I was dysphoric for weeks but when I passed them after the resit I was euphoric. In basic terms – When I failed my exams I was miserable when I passed them I was ecstatic and happy. Dysphoric means a sadness, melancholy or upset and is the opposite of euphoric which is great joy.
