What is a temporal artery biopsy?
A temporal artery biopsy is a surgical procedure to assist in the diagnosis of temporal arteritis, also known as giant cell arteritis. Giant cell arteritis is an inflammatory disease of small to medium arteries and can be vision and life threatening.
