A truck mounted forklift trailer is often known as a “moffett truck” or “moffett trailer” after the manufacturer of this kind of vehicle. A moffett truck carries a forklift on the rear which can be lowered at the collection or delivery point. These trailers are used where a forklift truck or other handling equipment are absent. Moffett trailers are often used for deliveries to shops, building sites and for delivery to private addresses. A moffett trailer is considered to be specialist equipment and as such will carry a price premium. The moffett trailer however offers great time saving and flexibility for loading and unloading.
