What is a two-component urethane?
Two-component urethanes are commonly used as automotive, architectural and industrial coatings. They contain a number of individual ingredients which are blended in varying quantities to achieve varying results. For example, some of the common characteristics which can be manipulated by changing the formulation are gloss, drying time, chemical resistance, chip resistance and UV resistance. No one urethane excells at everything, hence there is no perfect coating. Safety of the coating during application is also a large concern, especially when used in the home. We have studied and tested numerous coating over the years, bearing in mind the criteria which are most important in this application. We have never found a better coating than the one we use, especially in terms of safety and durability.
