What is a Vehicular Cyclist?
–> In growing numbers, cyclists are now seeing the result of treating bicyclists as pedestrians on wheels and are seeking alternatives to the almost exclusive emphasis and funding toward separate designated places where “bikes belong.” Vehicular cyclists coexist with other traffic by operating their bicycles as vehicles in agreement with the rules established for vehicular traffic. They feel that this is the best possible world for cycling in a country with the best roads in the world. They do however feel that improvement is often needed. Vehicular Cyclist advocates demand full rights as vehicle operators and are working for better education, road design that incorporates bicycle traffic provision, and safe accommodation on every road.
