What is a “Web” in SecureIIS?
A “Web” refers to a website. Webs are logical (virtual) sites that can exist on a web server. Multiple websites can exist on any one web server, so for instance one physical box can be responsible for housing site1.com, site2.com, and site3.com. This type of setup is very common for hosting facilities, and even for corporations that have both extranet and intranet websites. IIS web servers maintain a count of these Webs, and this count is what we use to determine the different SecureIIS license types.
