What is acceptable in the supply budget?
A maximum of $1,000 in non-salary support can be requested, including supplies, travel, or other research related non-instrument materials. Any item which can be justified as supportive of your project may be requested, and any item necessary for the success of your project should be requested. A larger supply request will necessitate a proportionately more compelling proposal. Unusual circumstances should be discussed with your departmental representative, so that your situation can be discussed when proposals are reviewed.
