What is Advanced Data Storage?

0

Solution: Advanced Data Storage saves student data in two places. Each student should add himself/herself to the class. On their first login, two folders are created: 1) a KCADATA folder at the root of their home directory, and 2) a folder in KCA\Classes\Class Name\Student_Name. To use Advanced Data Storage each student needs: 1. A unique login to the network. 2. Adequate permissions/rights (click here for this information). 3. Their home directory mapped to the root of the network drive for the KCADATA folder. Note: When creating a class, the advanced option allows only a mapped drive letter. 4. A login script to direct student lessons to the home directory. The login script is the responsibility of the schools System Administrator; Software Support does not assist with this. Notes: Since dual records exist for each student, check both places when searching for corrupt files. KCA version 3 also has a High Security Mode feature that provides even more flexibility.
