What is an advanced import?
There are two advanced imports: the Personnel import and the Extension / Authorization Code import. These imports can periodically scan a location for files containing raw data to import. When a file is imported, it is parsed into individual import records containing personnel, extension, or authorization code data, which are then matched to records already in the database. Import records that match will update the corresponding database records; import records that do not match will add new personnel, extension, and authorization code records. Advanced imports can also be configured for ‘auto-deletion’ to clean up the database and delete records which no longer appear in subsequent import files.
