What is an author liaison?
An author liaison is tasked with marking nominations complete so that they can compete in the MEFAs. In order for a nomination to be complete, its author must approve the nomination information and give permission for the work to compete. The liaison is responsible for seeing that authors assigned to them receive the nomination information and then answering any questions the author might have. They also make any changes requested by the author to the link, rating, summary, and other story information, and withdraw a story if the author does not want it to compete or the liaison determines that it is ineligible (see the eligibility FAQ). Once all the information is correct and permission is granted, the liaison may mark the nomination complete, and at that point, it is ready to compete in the MEFAs.
