The EFIE’s function is to correct the oxygen sensor’s output to match the corresponding increase in efficiency caused by the combustion improvement. With the EFIE, the computer won’tfisht the fuel saver by adding extra fuel. Applying the EFIE by itself is not recommended. The EFIE should always be upplied in addition to a combustion enhancement device or method. Use of the EFIE without combustion enhancement could result in an overly lean mixture, increasing pollution and decreasing the life of the engine.
