What Is an Energy Transformation?
(Student Book, pages 14-17) In Closer to Home (page 36), students learn how their bodies transform energy. As the students discuss energy transformation, encourage them to recognize the presence of God in the food they eat. Explain that God, the Creator, is the source of all energy. He created the plants that animals and people need to eat for energy. Life energy is passed from the Creator through all creation. Remind students that we are also provided with the opportunity to share in the food and drink Jesus gives us in the Eucharist that nourishes and energizes our spiritual needs.
