WHAT IS AN INVERTEBRATE?
Invertebrates, those life forms that do not sport a complex backbone, comprise more than 95% of the animals that creep, crawl, swim, and fly across this world. They can be found in the hottest deserts, the coldest tundra, the largest cities and in every ecosystem in between. Without the millions of specialized jobs that invertebrates perform across the globe, the earth would simply cease to be an inviting place to live for humans and most plants.
