What is an ioniser?
An ioniser is a device that creates the same bracing naturally ionised air you find high in monutains, near waterfalls or breaking waves. Our ionisers generate an intense, but safe, electrical field on the tips of a bundle of fine carbon fibres, called the emitter. The field takes the form of a tiny corona, which you can sometimes see as a faint blue glow on the emitter in a darkened room when you place your finger very close. This corona is responsible for turning nearby air molecules into ions. Once ionised an air molecule is then electrostatically propelled into the surrounding space.
