What is Budweisers marketing strategy in India? How is its positioning different from the increasing number of beer brands in India?
Our marketing strategy consists of three verticals. Music: Budweiser Clubbing is the platform through which we promote dance format sounds. We bring down DJs from all parts of the world. Last year, we hosted 12 to 14 international artists at popular night clubs in the country. Then, we have Football. We now have Indians participate in our amateur football tournament ‘6v6’. It’s like a dream come true for footballers to play on the same grounds as other countries. It is an international tournament and the finals are held in the Old Trafford Stadium, which in itself is an experience of a life time. The third platform is Budweiser Life. We promote polo (which is a lifestyle sport). We also organize a 4×4 rally, an off-road ride we do in different terrains. We’ve done a couple till now. It’s untapped by any other company till now. Then of course, we promote beach volley ball and beach football tournaments as well.
