What is cashmere?
Cashmere is a fiber obtained from the Cashmere Goat. This fiber is much warmer than the equivalent weight of wool. These goats have a double coat a soft undercoating fleece and a guard outer coat. Cashmere only consists of the fine undercoat. China produces the bulk of the Cashmere; Mongolia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, and Turkey are the other major producers.
