What is CGI scripting?
A script is a program or sequence of instructions that is interpreted or carried out by another program rather than by the computer processor. An example of a script is a hit counter that displays the number of visitors to a Web site. CGI (Common Gateway Interface) is a consistent way for data to be passed from the user’s request to the application program and back to the user. It’s simply a basic way for information about your request to be passed from the Web to the application program and back again.
