Mentha x piperita f. citrata ‘Chocolate’ is a cross between aquatica and spicata. The form citrata is a further subdivision and ‘Chocolate’ is another. Mentha x piperita on its own gives you peppermint, so essentially Chocolate Mint is a “form” of Peppermint.
