What is comic irony?can you explain?
It doesn’t really have definition of its own… Comic irony is irony used for comic effect. In other words, there is an event that is misunderstood and this results in comedy. As a literary technique, this generally used for plays/movies/TV or other performing arts, but of course can be used in novels, too. For example, you might consider Romeo and Juliet as non-comic irony. The plot twists in the end are dramatic irony, and is not considered funny. But a TV show such as I Love Lucy is entirely based on comic situational irony, where Lucy does the unexpected and the result is always hilarious.
