What is comprehensive ophthalmology?
All patients who have not been specifically referred to specialty areas are seen in the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Clinic. The Comprehensive Ophthalmology Clinic provides general ophthalmic care including routine eye exams and laser, medical, and surgical care for all types of conditions of the eye and surrounding structures. Patients are screened for specific ocular problems and, if necessary, referred to appropriate specialty services. In addition, the Comprehensive Ophthalmology Clinic provides a daytime on-call service for emergent eye problems, diagnosis, care, and consultations.
