What is CPCCs history?
Cypress Point Community Church began in the home of charter member Loretta Kirkland. It was summer of 1998 and paster Dean Reule, his family, and three or four other families gathered for the first time as CPCC. As membership began to grow church services were moved to the sales center at the entrance to Hunter’s Green. When Muvico opened in New Tampa on Bruce B. Downs in 2001 we began holding services in their facilities. Twenty three acres of land was purchased near the corner of Cross Creek and Morris Bridge Road in 2003. Construction began in 2006 on our first building and our first services was held there on Sunday, September 23, 2007. As growth continuted we added a second Sunday service on November 15, 2009. Approximately 400 people presently call Cypress Point home and we continue to grow every week!
