What is directory information that may be released without consent?
Directory information may include the following: the students name, address, telephone listing, date and place of birth, major filed of study, participation in officially recognized activities and sports, weight and height of members of athletic teams, dates of attendance, degrees and awards received, and the most recent previous educational agency or institution attended by the student. Each institution making public this information is required to give annual notice to its current students of the categories of information which it has designated as directory information.
