What is fiber-optic technology?
Fiber optics is a way of sending information using pulses of light. It is so advanced it can carry high-definition TV, high-quality digital telephone and ultra-fast Internet signals, all on the same connection and all at the same time. As technology advances, the equipment used to send and receive information may be upgraded, but the really expensive partbuilding the fiber connectionsdoes not have to be redone.
