What is force or load reduction?

Let’s say you and a friend are carrying the couch together and your friend loses his/her grip and drops their side. Your ability to reduce the load you are catching with your body will determine whether you can stabilize or drop your side also. Force or load reduction is a very important aspect to maintaining our health and balance ‘on the street’.
