What is Freestyle or Personal Choice Cruising?
Many cruise lines are now offering a special format designed to ensure the ultimate in a relaxing, custom-tailored cruise vacation. “Freestyle” or “Personal Choice” Cruising is designed to provide you with freedom of choice. You are not required to choose a set dining time but can dine at one of many restaurants onboard at any time. Reservations may be made once you arrive onboard. Gratuities are charged to your onboard account at a set amount to avoid any confusion or last-day stress. These gratuities cover all service personnel onboard so you will not need to do any tipping. With this type of cruising, even dressing onboard is made easy. The general attire onboard for the duration of the sailing is “resort casual” but there will still be “dressy” nights if you would like to dress up for dinner. There will be a newsletter onboard letting you know what nights are “formal nights” at each restaurant.
