What is Fundamentals of Math?
Fundamentals of Math 1 is a resouce level pre-algebra class. This class will be offered to incoming freshman who were enrolled in 8th grade resource math or returning freshman who have previously failed the class. From here students will either continue with Fundamentals of Math 2 or Inclusion Algebra 1A/B. Fundamentals of Math 2 and Gateway Algebra/Fundamentals are resource level Algebra 1. Fundamentals of Math 2 is a resource level Algebra 1 class. This class will expand on pre-algebra skills to prepare students for the Algebra Gateway Exam. Gateway Algebra/Fundamentals is a class designed to review Algebra 1 concepts and teach test taking strategies for the Algebra Gateway Exam. Students will take the Algebra Gateway Exam at the end of this course.
