(Coastres from Sippy Downs) Council spokesperson: The draft Maroochydore structure plan is currently being reviewed by the state government. The new council is taking the opportunity to review the document that was prepared under the previous council to make sure that it is comfortable with the outcomes that the plan is based on. The council is also working with the state government during this period to ensure that the document that is released for public consultation reflects the new council’s desired outcomes. It is anticipated that the document will be approved by the state government for public consultation in January 2009.
