What is included in the UW Oshkosh Year 2000 Plan?
The Year 2000 Plan covers two major areas: central computing resources for which the IT Division is responsible, and department and unit computing resources, for which departments and units are responsible. IT is responsible for addressing Year 2000 issues for such central resources as student computer labs, University-wide servers such as the e-mail server, and the central mainframe and its administrative computing systems. Departments and units are responsible for individual PCs, department-specific servers, and locally-installed software.
