What is intelligence and how can it be defined in a scale of superiority?
The ability to become successful all lies in our ability to survive. If we can create a stable living environment for our offspring and have them pass on our genetic traits we are intelligent. The same goes for many animals. We have chosen to use our brains moreso than other animals though and because of that we are able to do many things such as travel. We have been able to conquer the world and spread our species to ALMOST every habitual place on the earth. We still have yet to locate our species to the depths of the seas however which takes up the greatest percentage of mass on our planet. Regardless, we create things that facilitate our lives. Its because of this that we are intelligent. However, we are creating things to make us happy which isn’t good. Our intelligence is being abused and we are creating things such as video games to help us stimulate endorphins without contributing to our overall well being. This is paradoxical however. Intelligence is the ability to learn. ALL methods for measuring intelligence are subject to a wide range of error. Measuring interspecies intelligence is even more problematic. Human intelligence requires social input, without the proper stimuli at the proper developmental periods, a potential Einstein may end up an idiot. The same is true, although to a different degree, for many species.
