What is Interactive Web Multimedia?
The interactive Web multimedia certificate program focuses on providing conceptual, technical and visual design skills required to create multimedia applications and environments for output to the Web, DVD, CD-ROM, kiosk or other interactive methods of distribution. The fundamentals of multimedia design, linear and nonlinear storytelling, graphic design for multimedia, and the role of interactivity from aesthetic and technical perspectives are explored. Students will build a strong foundation based upon multimedia design principals, narrative structure, storyboarding, digital imaging, digital video and audio editing, motion graphics and interactive flowchart creation. All students in the program are required to design and produce a significant interactive Web multimedia project as a capstone experience.
