0

Targeting underserved groups and constituencies, KCET provides people of all ages with stimulating and engaging learning opportunities through innovative programming, multimedia content, professional development and family education services. National educational training models have been developed and implemented for A Place of Our Own, Los NiƱos en Su Casa, Sid the Science Kid, and Ready to Learn/PBS KIDS. These multilingual initiatives train adults in the educational use of media, and extend the learning in the programs themselves. Over the past decade, 40,000 parents and early childhood educators have participated in the training program, impacting over 250,000 children nationwide. If you would like more information on KCET’s Education and Outreach activities, please call (323) 953-5788.
