What is meant by Convert to Delivery ? Can I choose not to square off a margin position?
Margin positions are meant to be squared off. However, if you want, you can choose to receive or give delivery of shares against your positions. The expression of this intention is ‘Convert to Delivery’. For example, if you have a margin position of ‘Buy 100 Reliance Shares’, instead of squaring off this position by selling 100 Reliance shares in the same settlement, you can choose to receive delivery against the same. You can convert even a part of the total quantity of 100.
